The CISSP certification can open more doors of opportunity in your career than anything else you can add to your resume or CV!
When you earn the CISSP, you demonstrate the knowledge and comprehension of the effective design, implementation, and management of today’s cybersecurity needs.
The CISSP has LONG been regarded as the gold standard, best-in-class, and/or premier certification. It’s industry respect and demand are light years beyond any other security certification!
The CISSP exam will test you on the 8 different security knowledge domains - or topics - also called the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK).
The exam will distribute the exam questions across each of the domains using an average weight - or percentage of the questions asked.
It is not an exact percentage, as each exam may vary in how many questions are asked from each of the domains.
The questions are also not asked in any specific order. The questions are asked randomly and selected from any of the domain areas as you progress through the exam.
The CISSP certification is an investment in your career. We recommend you treat it as such.
You need to decide for yourself: “Am I ready to invest the time and money it will take to become a CISSP?”
We have an article that will help you decide if you need some help.
While there are a variety of training options for the CISSP exam, we recommend is to find a training program that will teach you how to practically apply the CISSP material in real information security scenarios.
You will be tested using different "real-world" scenarios and you will be expected to do the work once you become certified. So, it's a good idea to learn it this way to ensure you will be successful on exam day.
We recommend spending some time preparing for the exam before investing in an exam voucher.
This will give you time to work towards your readiness to sit for the exam and pass it on your first attempt.
When you are ready to register for the exam, visit Pearson Vue's website.
